Mind of Christ versus mind of a church leader (email to my friend Charles)
Hello Charles,
In your email to me, you have written that you remain in despair with the question, how can you and other saints be built up to the knowledge of Christ and be mature if you are not able to discern the mind of Christ.
I have copied others in my email so they too can learn from my answer to your question. I need to teach others, as bible talk and church leaders have monopolized the teaching, leading people away from Christ directly into their hands.
If you are a disciple of Jesus Christ, it means that you also have the mind of Christ. You need to make sure that you follow Jesus Christ, not a church leader, pastor or priest.
For many years, you have been misled by the church leaders and pastors. Jesus spoke in his parable about the sheep, the sheepfold and a thief and a robber.
"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep”. -John 10:1-2
You are the sheep of Christ. Church leaders and pastors are the thieves and robbers. They have attempted to steal you from Christ by making you obey their demonic church doctrine. They are thieves when they make you quietly follow their doctrine, but they are also robbers when they force you to it by threatening to drag you out - they call it “disfellowshipping”. People agree to follow the doctrine of the church for the fear of church leaders and pastors.
The weapon of church leaders is money - the same money offered by church members. Church leaders and pastors condemn many for disobeying them but the sheep do not listen to them:
All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. -John 10:8
Church leaders in Saint Petersburg, Russia have condemned my friend Vadim for not offering his money to them and not attending to their sermons, but Vadim did not listen to them. Church leaders have condemned you as well for rejecting the membership, but you too must not listen to them.
You must reject the authority of church leaders, pastors and church members over you. Let you not be deceived by them and do not fear them. What they can do to you? Listen to those who come to you with the sound arguments, but always weigh what is being said. If you follow the doctrine of Christ and reject the doctrine of church leaders and their members, you have the mind of Christ:
"For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ. -1 Corinthians 2:16
Also, it is good that you recognize the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers. All these people possess the gift of teaching. Those are not the positions! In my book titled Antichrist, I have taught about the tasks of the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers:
Apostle - directs believers around the world, just like Paul used to do;
Prophet - rebukes believers and expose the false teachers locallly. Judas and Silas were some of those prophets mentioned in the Scripture;
Evangelist - disciple of Christ who travels the world to proclaim the good news about Christ. John in his letter to Gaius (3rd John) praises Gaius for welcoming traveling belivers (evangelists) in his house writing about them “for they went for the sake of the Name”;
Pastor - believer who watches out for those of little faith and helps them out using the word of God; these are not the Pastors who lord over believers making others follow the doctrines of their organizations;
Teacher - believer who teaches others.
You must not be deceived, for there are people whom church members call church leaders, pastors and evangelists. They have taken the place of Christ, forcing others to follow the demonic doctrine of their organization. They collect money from people and use this money to build or rent a meeting place (church building). Once they have built the church building which is nothing else but temple of a strange god, they dominate over believers and mislead them with their demonic doctrine. Since the building belongs to them, they welcome those whom they want to welcome and drag out those whom they don’t want to welcome. These teaching about “attending the church” derived from Catholicism, for Catholic members attend the temple to pray and listen to the sermon of the priest. You must not attend the temples but fellowship with believers away from the influence of church leaders and pastors. You need to meet with believers at public places or houses where everyone is free to teach what God inspired them.
Kind regards,
Andrii
