Email from Jacob, a church leader in Dubai

Dear Brothers/Sisters, Greetings! I normally do not use an email thread to communicate and please consider this as a one off, to counter a recently floated letter. (dated 3rd November, 2019) While each of you have the individual freedom to discern what is best in the circumstances, I would like us to take note of the letter recently sent to this particular group by an ex-member of the church. I am glad he has attached the original article for your reference. You have perhaps already realized that the excerpts of the article has been taken out of context and that betrays the 'understanding' the person has of the referred subject. That article is the personal experience and viewpoint of the author. Selective grouping and writing such inflammatory letters is exactly why we had to take the ultimate steps of 'disfellowshipping' the brother. This is divisive in its least intention. All I can encourage us, is to ignore the brother and his spewing and pray that sanity and peace will return in his heart. Please note that he stands disfellowshipped and please note that we have adhered to all the biblical principles, procedures and taken much advice to arrive at that collective decision. Mind of Christ versus mind of a church leader (email to my friend Charles)

Worshipping church leaders by praises and sacrifices (Email to the church in Dubai)

Dear friends,  You have committed a sin which God hates the most: you have worshipped idols - your church leaders. How did you worship? You have worshipped them by praises and sacrifices. You are gathered together for one purpose: praising church leaders. No one comes with his or her own revelation but everyone listens only to church leaders.
