John Oakes requests church leaders physically remove me

Andrei:

Given the tone of this letter, I can definitely see why the church took the actions they did.  Here is my advice:  You should find a group of Christians who more closely adhere to the beliefs you hold.  It is rather obvious that the ICOC is not very close to what you want to practice.  Why would you want to fellowship with a group with which you so strongly disagree?  I strongly urge you to move on and to find a group of believers with whom you can agree on these important issues.  Clearly that group is not the ICOC.  You should do yourself and the members of the church there, and move on to another group.

By the way, in Titus 3:10 the Greek word used means either divisive or factious.  The KJV is a rather poor translation of this passage.  Have you been divisive?  I take the letter below as clear evidence that you have absolutely been divisive.  You say below, "I began teaching against their practices." That is the definition of divisive, and it is what Titus 3:10 is talking about.  You convict yourself of being divisive.  Again, I strongly urge you to find a group that agrees with your belief.  Even as you do what is wise, which is find another group, you should stop being so argumentative, contentious and divisive.

You have been asked to leave.  That is exactly what you should do.  If you refuse to do so, then yougive the group there no choice but to physically remove you.  What else can they do?  That would be on you, not on them.  I am sure they will not use any more force than is required if you physicallyresist leaving.  Let me suggest a better option:  Move on to another group which is closer to what youbelieve and practice.

You say, "My teaching is strongly at variance with established beliefs of ICOC."  That is true, and it is why you should find another group to fellowship with.  Please do everyone a favor and simply do what you were asked.

I wish you well.
